We here at San Diegans for Criminal Justice Reform have three major projects right now:
1. Justice for #EarlMcNeil and his family – we stand with community members calling for transparency from the National City Police Department, City Council, and the San Diego County District Attorney regarding the death of Earl McNeil.
You can support the family by attending this upcoming event: https://www.facebook.com/events/487163785060806/
2. Bail Reform in San Diego County – we are calling on the District Attorney, Summer Stephan, to keep her promise made to voters during the campaign, and to support bail reform today in San Diego County. Cash bail is inhumane and unjust. It does not keep us safe, it criminalizes poverty, and it largely affects communities of color.

3. Standing against inhumane immigration policies – we believe criminal justice reform must include ALL people who enter our courtrooms. We stand against #OperationStreamline, against family separations, and against concentration style camps being built in San Diego County and paid for with our tax dollars. We stand with a variety of community groups and organizations doing the work on this important issue.

We will obviously respond to issues as they arise and will change our focus as needed. For now, however, these issues remain our focus and we hope you’ll join us in standing up for our community.
